Facility Effects due to HET
NASA - Joint AdvaNced PropUlsion InStitute (JANUS)
Post Doctoral Researcher (working with a team from Oregon State University)
Electric propulsion (EP) ground tests must address various facility effects, such as carbon sputtering, erosion, and deposition on the inner surfaces of both the thruster and vacuum chamber. As part of a multi-university experimental investigation of the H9 Hall effect thruster under JANUS (Joint Advanced Propulsion Institute), this project focuses on analyzing these facility effects and their impact on the performance envelope.
Analysis Methods: Beam Targets, Witness Plates, Probes, SEM, Profilometry
